We're Building an App!

We've made it our mission to make Ghost Town more fun, more interactive, and more accessible than ever before. Because of this, we are pleased to announce that the Ghost Town mobile app is under development for both iOS and Android! The Ghost Town app will be chock full of brand new features, only available on mobile devices, along with the ability to take Ghost Town with you wherever you go. For more details about all the cool new stuff that will be available in the app, read on!

App Features

The Ghost Town app will allow you to do all the same stuff our website can do, and more! You'll be able to use our interactive map, view and create new posts, and use an entirely new suite of paranormal investigation tools that utilize all the different capabilities unique to your mobile device.

Investigation Tools

Some tools currently slated for release are as follows:

EMF Meter

Our comprehensive EMF meter utilizes your device's Magnetometer sensors to detect electromagnetic frequencies in the immediate area. It's detailed, accurate, and allows you to modify units of measurement to suit your needs.

Detection Camera

We are incredibly excited to include our new Detection Camera feature. This Camera interface uses advanced AI to analyze each frame of your camera to detect both human, and animal subjects.

Point Detection Camera

A more traditional tool used by Paranormal investigators. This tool works much like the SLS cameras you see the professionals use. However it wouldn't be accurate to label this feature as an SLS camera. SLS stands for Structured Light Sensor Camera, which works by emitting beams of infrared light at a target area, and mapping out human bodies interrupting the path of light. Unfortunately most mobile devices do not have infrared capabilities - and most apps that claim to use it don't tell you whether your phone has the right equipment or not. We call this feature the Point Detection Camera, because it uses the visible light spectrum to detect human shaped objects, and map out each joint in real time.

OpenGL Camera Filters

We've integrated one of the most tried and true graphics engines into your devices camera. Utilizing the power of OpenGL, our tool suite offers a number of filters to help you capture the paranormal evidence you're looking for.

These aren't just filters that apply a colored screen over your camera frames. These are graphics shaders that work by enhancing the actual image being captured by your device.

Some of our filters include:

• Low light Vision

• Negative (enhances shadows and dark places)

• Full Spectrum (enhances UV light and other non-visible frequencies of light)

Audio Recording

Simple, easy to use audio recording allows you to capture and store your EVPs all in one place.

Spirit Box

Our experimental spirit box generates random white noise using electromagnetic frequencies and plays them back at whatever intervals you choose.
